Thank you Brian !!

For almost a decade Brian Raisin has served as a Convenor, first on Wednesday nights for a few years and then for the longest period on Thursday nights. 

Thursday night players will be aware of the smooth, welcoming and enjoyable game on Thursday nights thanks to Brian's organizational skills and dedication.  Always the first to arrive and last to leave Brian has been the steady hand behind the success of Thursday night bridge sessions.  Brian's dedication often goes above and beyond, with many of us unaware that he frequently sets up the room in the mornings and also attends as Convener even when not playing himself .

Brian has enjoyed the contact with people that being a Convenor affords and considers it a privilege to be able to give back to the Club that he enjoys so much.  In particular Brian has felt it a privilege to lead moments of silence and thereby honour departed  members with respect and sincerity.

Brian is resigning from his role at the end of this year . He will be continuing with his Bridge and his fulfilling role as pharmacy delivery driver -a role he truly loves  and which speaks volumes about his caring and community oriented nature.
